Sushi was not fresh AT ALL. Read many reviews that were favorable and gave it a try and was very disappointed.
Some of the best quality sushi in Seattle Posted Jun 03, 2010 by Madd
Redfin is surprisingly one of my favorite sushi places in Seattle. From the outside it seems more like a belltown hangout, and this image persists even after you walk in. However, the fish quality is easily one of the best in the city. The sushi platter will not disappoint, and it's priced the same as many other sushi platters in the city but tastes SO much better. The sashimi platter is enormous and very fresh every time i order it. Also, the happy hour rolls/sets are a decent value (they used to be cheaper) for when you just want a small bite.
Bottom line: Some of the best sushi in town. When I want sushi without any regrets I go here and get the platter and it never disappoints. If you want the same I highly suggest you try out Redfin. Happy Hour in the Bar Posted Apr 18, 2007 by Downtown Local
Trendy, small, and busy during happy hours. Atmosphere is nice, dark and light, very yin yang. Service is very spoty, sometimes good, mostly bad. Food quality varies widely, mostly below average. Food and drinks over priced, draft beer priced on par with other downtown happy hours. Guests from the hotel, and lively conversation make it a worthwhile happy hour. Pass on the food and drinks, have a beer.
Tasty Lunch Spot Posted Jan 07, 2007 by skabatgirl
I visited Red Fin for lunch with a group of friends. We all ordered the bento boxes, which was a great deal for about $10 each. Each box contained rice, an asian inspired salad, and your choice of two dishes. I had the seared tuna and fried tofu. The tuna was fresh and nicely cooked. The tofu was good, tho I was hoping it would be more like agedashi tofu. It was just thin blocks of fried tofu without any garnish. We split a soft shell crab roll, which had the right amount of crunch--it wasn't too soft and greasy. Next time I'd like to try the nigiri and sashimi. The service can be a little tentative, and the restaurant, being in a hotel lobby, is cramped in spots. I'd return again tho!
