and you really want to make me a happy girl, you will take me to Wasabee. they offer the best value you can fine in whatcom county when it comes to sushi. it's always fresh, has great flavor, provides a nice selection (though, you won't find spider rolls here), and best of all, two people can eat here for under $25 and leave satisfied. and that makes it perfect for dates!

Osaka is probably the most authentic LOOKING place to get sushi in Bellingham. Osaka provides counter seating, tables or Japanese-style tatami booths to choose from and a garden with pond behind the restaurant. Their menu is extensive, as Osaka is a Japanese Restaurant rather than a sushi bar.
Their sushi is fresh and flavorful, though many of the makisushi offerings were cream cheese and mayonnaise based. The Sake roll and the Ebi sushi were my favorite. They're simple, but perfect and delicious.
We also split an entrée and found it to be more than enough!
They also have "Love Boat" combinations that look incredible and include a selection of sushi.
It's a little pricey, but it's good and is a really nice experience.
Kyoto Steak House and Sushi Bar is a great place for a gathering or a date. Subtly divided in the middle, you can choose to enjoy the fanfare of the hibachi or the calm of the sushi bar. The fish is fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and helpful. The Pacific Roll is simple and lovely and the Spider Roll is FABULOUS! Plus, there's plenty on the menu for guests who aren't comfortable with a pure sushi meal.
